The Dogswell ones ARE made in China. They do not make it obvious and it is written in TINY letters on the bottom of their package and hidden on their website. They do not want you to know they are made in China.
It is most likely a safe product, but if it's possible to make so many other good treats here there is no reason they can't make the chicken strips here. When I find some I will let you know!
Free Range makes some, but they are wrapped with things: http://www.freerangedogchews.com/cat...uct.asp?pid=83
They are made in Brazil. I've hesitated to carry them because they are not made in the USA. Is this an acceptable alternative? If so I will add them to my site. Let me know!
I sell Sam's Yams which I think is a good alternative. Obviously it's a veggie and not chicken, but it's 100% sweet potato no fillers no additives and it comes in the same kind of shape so you can let them chew on it or break it into pieces for a treat. |
Erin,
Thank you so much for the info. I have purchased the Yams in the past
and thought they would be a good alternative however when I opened
the package the few in the front were a nice size but the rest were
very small. They were not cheap so I did not buy them again.
I don't know is it safe to purchase from Brazil?
It's amazing how many US companies package in China. I did not realize
it until I wanted these chicken fillets. They ALL are packaged there.
