I'm sorry you are worried - we had elderly yorkies until 2 years ago (they were over 14 ) and they were very active to the end but eventually one had heart problems and the other liver problems. How long have you had him? Unless he is microchipped there is no way of saying how old he is but I do know one thing - shelters are well known for saying that dogs are younger than they probably are? may not be the case here though, maybe he has had a bad time and needs to adapt and gain confidence in you and your family?
