I have five little furbutts and two of them really like to bark and it usually happens if they have not had enough " busy " time, so I really do not get upset at them, but I do let them know that it is unacceptable behavior and they get a " time-out ".
As for the housetraining ... some are easier to train than others. Penelope, my first, was very difficult, but then again I was not scheduling her routine properly and once I began to take her out routinely she did much better. All the others were much easier, because they just followed Penny out the door and instinctively knew what they should do. Of course there were accidents, but after a time they became less frequent and then stopped all together once they became adults.
