It's hard to tell much from a pic but I can tell you what I see. I see a good ear set, nice topline, and nice coat. Watch for attitude and movement. Most judges will not count a shorter tail against him since it is man made but it can impede a balanced look. As far as working with him keep it fun at this age, stack him at least twice a day. Let him drag around a lead and begin bait training. There is an excellent article on bait training puppies in the Dec./Jan. issue of YT mag. Take him to a puppy match and show him off. Have fun with your little fella.
