I know how horrid it is to worry about your daughter. Mine is in her 1st yr in Nashville -- but, one of the schools she applied to & we really liked - was Union University in Jackson, Tenn. that was destroyed by the tornadoes this week. School there is shut down for weeks - they have like 3,500 students & 40%of their dorms are gone & another 40% damaged. Only one building on the campus didn't receive some type of damage. Of course there were tornado sirens going off in Nashville too -- being 11 1/2 hrs away - it would be hard to get there quickly - especially with the snow storm we got hit with. |
Oh my - in addition to those poor kids being in danger, my hearts go out to the families who had to worry about their kids!! The weather has just been unbelievable this winter. And to think that your daughter could have been there!!
Last year, UMSL had the gym roof torn off in the St Louis tornados. It just seems like tornados used to stay more in the non-metropolitan areas. Even tornados are getting more brazen and dangerous in this day and age.
