I have a lot of experience with male/female behavior having worked full time for almost 3 years at a rescue shelter and have pretty much seen it all. It is VERY normal for a neutered male to act out from time to time in the presence of another male, neutered or not. I wouldn't worry about your male picking up lasting habits. Dogs also will mark or piddle just out of confusion or a sudden change they are not comfortable with. I only have females, and they are not markers per say, but there have been some instances where in the presence of other dogs, male or female, they will squat and mark a little. I cannot explain it but am pretty certain it is very normal for your male to act out. I think even the most housebroken dog will let nature and hormones rule them from time to time, they are still animals. |
