We all have had the flu here BIG TIME this winter. When I took Maggy May to the vet shortly after we got her, I asked my vet this same question. His reply was, well, people say no, they cannot get it, but I'm here to tell you I've seen it enough times to know better and I say yes, they can get it from you. So, while our skin kids and my hubby were all sick, I was like a mad woman going through the house cleaning and spraying stuff down with lysol (I cleaned with a mixtured of bleach and water) and I wouldn't let none of the kids or my hubby around Maggy May. Thankfully I didn't catch it and neither did Miss Maggy May. As for a temp, have you tried Tylenol, Ibuprofen or Advil? It's what we use here. Good luck. Oh, I had to go back to edit this, I had aslo talked to my sister in law about this 2 weeks ago and she said when they were all sick with the flu, her doberman got sick as well, they tok him to the vet and the vet said, he's got what they all had and they all had the flu.
