SOme females may go up then down then up and down again for the big day.
Some females do not show distress at all ,I have one like that if I did not take her temp I would not know.She eats before whelping (brings it back up for me later)She has no digging or panting.She just starts to squat and is pushing out a pup.
Keep a close eye on her for those reasons.It is hard when you are working outside the home.
Keep your eye out for anything that is not her normal behavior. Loose stools are very common not eating chewing and licking her toys and herself.Hiding under the couch bed etc.
Her stomach will get hard when she has a contraction or you may see a ripple extend over her stomache.
