Archie has been getting the blue nubby nylabone since puppyhood and hasn't had a problem with them in two years. HOWEVER, he does tend to destroy them pretty quickly, so I buy them in bulk so that when they begin to be really chewed up (that's when bigger pieces tend to break off), I replace with a fresh one. I search the intranet pet sites for the best prices for them (they seem to fluctuate on sale), so I never run out.

Oh -- I want to add that his vet is amazed at how great his teeth look -- he won't tolerate me brushing them and this seems to do the trick as he chews on the bone several times a day.
