Where was here teacher?? I'd be stinking mad - that teacher should have made sure the children's things are hung up so they can hopefully be dried. Especially, her socks!! Most schools have some back clothes in case some one has some type of accident or gets sick.

I don't understand how the teacher could let her come home without socks -- I would imagine her tennis shoes would have been wet by the time she came in too.
