I have two. One is five and the other is seven. They are not allowed in my dog room unless I am there and they are sitting on the floor and only for about ten minutes at a time. That's about as long as they can last without getting rowdy with the dogs. When i have puppies, I take them each one a puppy to the family room and after the kids are seated on the couch right across from me, they are each one allowed to hold a puppy until they get restless and then puppies are put back up.
