It's called rancid resturant grease that's picked up and sparayed on the dog food to cover up the horrible stinch of what went into the making of the horrible stuff that souldn't be called "food".
ALL dry bags of dog kibble have LOTS of preservatives (among other nastys) otherwise it would rot on the shelves.
