If the baby is 1 1/4 pounds at 5 weeks, you should have known you weren't looking at a 'small' Yorkie. That being said, the pup won't be as large as the mother. They usually get their size from the father's bloodline so she may well be only about 6 pounds grown. I have bred an 8 pound mother with a 6 poiund father and the largest only grew to about the father's size, the rest being smaller with 2 'tinies' in the litter. I don't evaluate my pups for size, however, until 8 weeks old because even smaller parents can produce larger pups depending on the bloodline.
