YOU are the pet owner and not expected to know LOL..many people have never seen what makes a Yorkie a male or female..it is the breeder who made the mistake. How are you going to handle this? Will the breeder want 50% more or ask for Toby back? Did she mark the papers male? If you want to keep your puppy, all you have to do is make a correction yourself on the papers. Send AKC a note saying there was an error in marking the papers..they will back you up. I have an uneasy feeling the breeder is going to want more money or the puppy...not fair it was her error..I would eat the loss and wish you well...best wishes |
