Oh your story reminds me of one! Our neighbors behind us had their younger daughter, her husband and their small child living with them. The hubby brought his dog to live there too and was kept in the backyard. Well, I could hear this dog bark but never saw it. Until one day, I had let Maggie out (our elderly cocker spaniel) and when I went to let her in, I see a PIT BULL out back with her. Now, I know they aren't always bad, but I'm SCARED of big dogs so YES this one terrified me. He was just funny though because he was wagging his tail and licking her face waiting to come in, too. I let her in and told him 'STAY' and went to grab my neighbors. He came over, opened our side gate and just let him out without a leash! The dog ran across the street where a woman was walking with her toddler on a her little bike. If it had been me, I'm sorry I would have kicked that dog, but she remained calm. The pit bull just licked her daughter's face, he called for him and took him home.

I watched out my back window and the way the dog got in my yard was by jumping, finding a footing on the fence and climbing over! He kept trying it and then at one point, looked up saw the tree branch and leaped onto that before he fell back into their yard.

Luckily, they figured out he needed more room to roam and he was taken to the hubby's parents house. OH I was sooooo upset and Maggie couldn't even run from him if she wanted to! I always peek out now just in case.

So, sorry it's long but I totally understand that frustration!
