Hi all, I'm new to these forums and I've got a question that hopefully more experienced Yorkie mom/dads will have an answer to. I have a beautiful 8 month old Yorkie (Jasmine, 6 lbs) who I would really like to get a companion for, but I'm not sure what breed would be best, whether to get another Yorkie or another type of small terrier. She's a total go-getter, never still and definately not a lap dog unless I'm trying to get up to go somewhere . We gave her a 'trial run' with some Maltese pups (6 months old) and she ran all 3 of them into the ground within a short time! Thankfully no one ever told her she's a 'toy' group dog, she's all terrier and I really think she needs a little buddy to keep up with her and help her use up some of that energy! She's very good with sharing toys, food, etc or I wouldn't suggest getting another dog, in fact she loves canine company. We have a large apartment and are soon to move to a bigger house with a fenced yard...so any suggestions? Stick with another Yorkie or try a new breed?
