They say the one thing you don't want to do when it's stomring is baby them, or tell them it's okay..My shih tzu is almost 10 and when it storms she is petrified, I just tell her to go lay down..if they have a crate or somewhere they feel safe that's where they need to be..I know it's hard not to baby them, but, mine actually gets worse when I do hold her.. You can get some pills from your Dr to give them when it's storming..I had some of those, but, I'm out..
