When Teddy bites I use my hands to "close" his snout while saying in a firm and deeper voice, "NO TEETH." When I let go he will automatically try to bite again but I say in the same voice as before, "NO TEETH" and he will lick me instead! Then I hug him, reward him, and say, "Thank you for the kisses!" This has proven to work about 85% of the time. But then again, Teddy is only 3 months old so I believe his progress is great for such a young pup! |
