My husband was married to another woman when we met. We were both in the military and did drill together once a month. We would talk, we got along great..the same chemistry as you were talking about. I was single, but out of respect of the woman he was married to we never did anything about it.
He emailed me one day telling me his wife was prego by another man and they were getting a divorce. 2 weeks later we went out on our first date, got engaged on the 3rd day and have been happily married and inseparable ever since and that was 5 1/2 years ago.
If you know what you feel in your heart is true, and you trust that his feelings are true as well, go for it. Dont worry about what others may think. Our families thought we were moving too fast at the time, but now they joke that we still act like newlyweds. BTW, I was 19 and he was 27 at the time. We now have 2 children and I have a cordial relationship with his exwife (they had kids together).
