They're NOT safe if they're lead crystal. Lead crystal has LEAD in it, and that's why they've put out warnings about people drinking out of lead crystal glassware too much and you're never supposed to store liquids in it as supposedly, the lead can leech into the liquid. It IS beautiful, but def. not safe.
