update on Diddy Thanks to everyone for the replies and concerns!
I took Diddy To the emergency vet last night and they checked his throat. They could not see or feel anything. They wanted to sedate him to take a better look but I was uneasy about that. He was not doing it as much at the vets office so I thought maybe he got rid of whatever was causing him to gag. The vet didn't think it was anything major but said that they would do xrays if I felt the need. I decided to take him home and monitor him and if it gets worse I would have the xrays done.
Diddy was fine on the way home and as soon as we got home he did it again. I took him to bed with me (He usually sleeps in a crate) and after a little while he fell asleep. He woke up around 2:30 am doing it again. I gave him some water and we went back to sleep. He seemed fine this morning. He didn't do the gagging, he ate ok, and even wanted to play. I had to leave him home and go to work and that upset me. I just want to be home with my little one to make sure he is ok. I am going to be sitting here at work all day thinking about it. I hope when I go home he is ok and has no more gagging episodes!
He is my first dog and I love him to pieces! This event, even though was not real serious scared me to death! I tend to worry too much sometimes.
Thanks again to everyone. I am so glad I found this site with so many caring people and who understand the love we have for our babies.
