So that naturally led to a conversation re: puppy mills. Do you know what she has the NERVE to say?? She said "Puppy mill dogs don't have feeling like regular dogs. They are special dogs used just for breeding." OMG!!! How can ANYONE be THAT ignorant?? After our heated discussion, she walked away but I don't think she really UNDERSTOOD why I was so upset. I referred her to Mill Busters website and to YT. I'm SO PISSED right now. How can anyone think that dogs don't have feelings??!!??!!
I was having a great day so far because today is Katie's birthday but now I'm just to upset. |
You co-worker is right, puppy mill dogs don't have some feelings. The evil people have tortured them so inhumanely that the poor animals feelings have been buried so deep, the only feelings they have are fear and pain, and sheer misery. I don't know how your co-worker sleeps at night. Maybe right now, all she is thinking about is her new puppy. But I promise you, there will come a time, when she will think about her baby's parents, and if she has half a heart, she will care, and try to do whatever she can to put an end to puppy-mills.
I'm as angry as you are at her.
