I have a 80 lb boxer and a 10 pound yorkie. I also have 3 daughters ages 3, 5, and 7. They all get along great. When I fist got my yorkie he was only about 2 pounds and was a gift. I was so scared. I prayed that he would grow to be about 50 pounds. He is about 10 now, sooo much better for having children. He loves to play with my girls and give them kisses and loves to play with my boxer( my boxer is a sweet thing very protective and motherly). I will tell you that we always have children over, our own and friends and my yorkie will usually hide when other children come over. Even though he is a larger yorkie 10 pounds is still a small dog. He has been chased and hurt by other children. No matter the size you have to watch children and dogs. |
