I keep Cal-sorb on hand at all times. A couple of years ago I had a female get eclampsia. She had six week old pups and I had been giving her calcium pills but for some reason that morning she would not eat. About mid morning she starting have the seizures and it scared me to death. I immediately got the cal-sort and gave her a dose. Within 15 minutes she was back to normal. After that I made sure my females always eat 3 times a day, the last feeding around 9:30 in the evening. Sometimes it does make them vomit if you give too much at once.

Deanna, how do you use it in place of the Oxy? Do you give it to them during delivery and how much?

I get mine from Revival Animal Health Products.
