I had the same problem for a while and realized that I was actually pulling on the fabric as it was being sewn. when working with the fleece, it seems you really have to let the machine do the pulling. the only thing you need to do is guide the fabric and make sure it is staying straight. but do NOT pull it at all!!!! it just stretches.

try that and see if it works any better for you I know I was really bad about pulling my fabric through while trying to keep it snug and straight. apparently, that is a no-no with fleece
