Mine all have either stainless steel bowls or porcelain bowls. I haven't bought them plastic bowls for a long time because I have known of the bacteria issues.
Also many dogs may be allergic to plastic. When my cocker Peppi had a plastic bowl years ago her chin broke out in bumps, she was allergic to the bowl.
However their water is in a plastic bowl sort of. They have a water fountain that is constantly running and filtering their water, they only come in plastic. I still sterilize it and clean it out twice a week but hopefully since it filters the water it won't be the same as a regular plastic bowl.
