I don't think they are supposed to clean themselves... atleast Esme doesn't and I am kinda happy about it considering I let her kiss my face!
Esme does know that after she does her business she has to wait for me in the bathroom to wipe her bottom.
She does this own her own, and if I don't come to her, she comes looking for me until I follow her.
