I hope that link works... it is to a page in my gallery that his pictures of my kids and my kids with our puppy.

I have an almost 4 and an almost 2 year old. They do really well with Scrappy. They each have their issues with him - and he with them. The biggest issue is making the kids understand that the dog doesn't always want to be held and cuddled. You'd think they'd be ok with throwing toys and letting the dog wrassle and play around, but they mostly just want to cuddle him. But, we haven't even had scrappy for 2 weeks yet so there's still a lot of learning being done by all three of them.

I think it's like some others have said - if you get a puppy and raise the kids and dog together - you should be good.

Also, we did practice before we brought our puppy home. I took a stuffed animal and showed the kids how to hold a puppy, how to pick one up, put one down, etc. etc.

Good Luck
