I'm going to sound like a hypocrite, I know it...but here's my opinion. I love all dogs. I think they all have a ton of worth to themselves and for their owners. I myself own a mix and a purebred.
My personal experience has been that my purebred has been a heck of a lot more healthy than my mix.
I would be willing to pay a breeder for a purebred puppy. They payed for their dogs and bred them, hopefully, with care and put money into them. I would NOT however pay a "breeder" for a mutt or mixed breed. I didn't pay a cent for my Cailee. The only money I would pay to get a mutt if I really wanted it would be an adoption fee from a reputable adoption or rescue.
That's my opinion as far as money goes. All dogs are wonderful and cute and loving. But I would not pay anybody because they purposefully put two different breeds together. IMO that's just wrong.
(I especially hate these "fad" breeds...they make me angry so I won't even get on the topic. lol)
