I don't want to debate or argue but here's my 2 cents on the subject. I think mixed breeds are adorable. But I would not breed ANY type of dog - pure or mixed - simply because there are too many dogs already in shelters. That is the only reason. I have nothing against mixed or pure dogs - I love them all. But I don't want to contribute to the thousands of sad, homeless dogs being euthanized or living out their lives in shelters.
One of my favorite mixes is a Maltepoo (Maltese/Poodle). But I would never breed for one or any other dog. When I was a kid (which isn't that long ago being that I'm 24 hee hee) my mom even had out guinea pig spayed. I do hope one day to adopt a shelter dog. My husband has always wanted a "pound" dog since before we even got Codie and Katie.
