If I were you, I would definetely either go down there or call them to let them know if you are interested in adopting Yorkies. A few months ago, I saw a Yorkie in a West Memphis shelter. I called and emailed numerous times without one response from them. I was not impressed at all for a facility that is a kill shelter and does not return calls to someone wanting to adopt a dog. I hope that Yorkie got a home because he was there for more than 3 weeks, I know this because the one and only time I got a real person on the phone told me he was still there and he would have to have one of the "adoption people" call me. Never got a call. Not Cool. They could have at least let me know he had a home.

Stepping off my soapbox...if I lived closer, I would have went there in person, and even thought about it a time or two, but a 5 hour drive and him not be there was too much of a gamble.
