The whole meds thing is very confusing. I have the book "Dog Owner's Home Veterinary Handbook" and it recommends Aspirin as a short term analgesic but does recommend that it be enteric-coated. I had a Malamute who had stomach problems and he got Pepto all the time for his upset stomach. It helped him alot and the book recommends it. I hightly recommend the book to everyone.
