I don't know why so many people on here are saying to only buy AKC if all you are looking for is a pet. I've seen plenty of AKC dogs that don't fit the standard.
If all you want is a cute pet then find a breeder you like and be sure to ask to see both parents so you have an idea of what the dog will look like. Also they should be healthy and the breeder should stand behind that with a guarantee (at least a year). Usually AKC and UKC are more likely to be reputable, but that sure doesn't guarantee they are and it also doesn't mean they aren't reputable if they come from other registry. |
