By the way, developing a new acceptable breed which will be recognized by kennel clubs requires meticulous research BEFORE you decide to breed. It is not a "try it to see what turns out" effort which it would appear is exactly what you did with the chorkies. I suspect you will try the morkie to see what your vet costs will be and what the market will be willing to pay. Maltese/yorkie mixes have been around for years so good luck with trying to register that as a purebred dog. People such as yourself also tried the maltese/poodle mix, otherwise known as a maltipoo. Quite popular at the time until people realized it was a grooming nightmare. Having owned both purebred Maltese and Yorkies I can tell you that their coats are in no way similar and mixing them together will produce yet one more grooming nightmare that owners will soon tire of. |
