Thank you. I didn't know about the pain meds being so dangerous. Our previous vet recommended baby asprin once for fever when Harley was really young but he was so much smaller then so I didn't know about his dosage now. Maybe there is a fever reducing med I can buy from my vet made specifically for dogs. I also remember when all my dogs contracted kennel cough we had to give them all baby cough syrup along with their meds to calm their coughing down. I'm going to call our local emergency vet right now. I'm going to try the cool rag and ice chips.
