This may be a not be exceptable to some, but I don't keep Maggy's collar on her, I won't be getting a collar anyhow, I'll be getting a haulty when she's old enough and had her shots and the only time she'll have that on is when she's outside, this way she can't get caught on anything. Our older dogs have had their tags caught on things many time, but their big dogs, they just end up ripping them right off and we've had to look all over the floor till we found them, so, we just put their collars on them when they go outside as well ;-) I hope your lil one is ok, I can TOTALLY understand you being shaken up.
