Well, as an active duty mom, that has been deployed numerous times and been places that I don't care to return to...I am getting out. I know that there is a lot of benifits for me should I stay in, but, I just can't keep leaving my family. I am in the Navy and my husband was a Marine. I met him before I ever joined, we got married shortly after I finished my A-school.
My kids, husband and family (puppies included) are my life! I only have 6 years in, but talk to your legal and look at the options that you have. Will they still cover the hospital charges for the birth if you get out now? I know some ways they write things you are not entitled to that, and others will get it covered since it is a "pre-existing medical condition". It all depends on the command and how they discharge you. I would really look into it. Also, will they give you any severance pay?
There are a lot of things to look at. Please feel free to PM me if you want and I would be more than happy to help you out as best as I can.
Best of luck in your decisions and CONGRATS on the new baby!
