Animal Smiley 019 Just Curious about how you guys feel on a couple things..

Okay for those yorkie breeders I am curious about a couple things. I've been talking to lots of breeders and have had a couple tell me some things that I was pretty sure were a bit odd but would like some feedback from you guys.

I had one lady tell me that her five month old yorkie ( no champion, just pet quality ) was $900 on the day I called her but would go up to $1200 the very next day because as they get older they become more expensive. This person also has teeny tiny teacup yorkies for sale $5000 and up. Is this normal pricing?

I have read that yorkies should never be bred if they are under 5lbs but lots of the people I spoke with told me they breed their 2 - 2.5lb yorkies. I read that to do that would seriously endager and probably kill them. Just found it odd that people were bragging about it.

Is it normal for yorkies to be over 10 pounds and still be healthy?

Also when looking to see how the pup will turn out should I pay more attention to mom or dad ( who gets more of the genes passed down)?

Do you keep your yorkies shaved in the summer if you aren't showing?

Thanks guys, just a couple questions I'd love your opinion on.
