The board is a 1" x 9" board cut about 35" long. The board attached crosswise at each end is 1/2" x 1 1/2" and 20" long. My husband cut a groove on the ends of the big board so the small board is flush to the floor with the big board and it is very stable and free standing. I use tie wraps to attach the x-pen to the foot of the board. I hope this makes sense. I am a little brain dead from being up all night delivering pups. If you can't figure out what I am saying then let me know and I will just take a picture.
I keep the pups on a heating pad plus I keep the room about 76 to 78 degrees.
