Having a pet is a big financial commitment. The spay/neuter is only a very small part of the expense.
I HIGHLY agree If you can't afford to purchase a pet or pay for basic vet care (which includes spay/neuter) then you shouldn't have a pet!

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
