Ours sleep with us. Reggie sleeps at the foot of the bed. But Coby sleeps at the top of the bed. There is just nothing better than having a little one snuggle up to you for safety and comfort. It reminds me of when my kids were preschoolers and would come climb in bed with me in the middle of the night.
Someone here on YT told me something that was precious. I don't remember who or the exact wording (so whoever you are please forgive me for slaughtering this, but I've always remembered it - I think she had a girl). "I reach out to her in the night, not to let her know that I am there, but to assure myself that she is there." I just found that to be so incredibly true. |
