They are very protecting when sleeping with the owner... but right now Paco sleep in his crate at night...

Put hubby in the crate and let Paco sleep with you.
Some people allow the dogs to sleep with them, some yorkies have their own beds, and some are crated at night...it's really your personal preferance I think. My yorkies sleep in our bed.
