My kitchen floor never has food crumbs on it thanks to the 6 little brown eyes that watch my every move when I'm cooking. I could probably make a casserole out of everything they have eaten that's dropped.
As for all medications I'd say keep them in a bathroom medicine drawer or drawer and not let the dog in when the meds are taken. I don't know what else to suggest.
