I agree with everything said here....and will also add that if you are not emotionally prepared for everything that can happen (including losing your beloved pet) then don't do it. Although you can take every precaution, there is never any guarantee that something won't go wrong. I'm not trying to be pessimistic or to discourage you, but in reality it is a possibility. I don't know your personality, so am not talking about you personally, but some people are just simply not equipped to deal with this.
