I've found the solution for my needs!
I wanted to sew another strap into my existing car seat, so that I can attach to a 2nd puppy's harness. After doing some research, I can simply buy a 'coupler', attach it to the strap that's already there, and attach 2 puppies to the coupler.
I always make things more difficult than they need to be!
