I let him out as soon as I get home and he runs around until bed time 9 or 10 and I try to play with him a little bit to make him sleepy. He sleeps with my hubby and I and is really a good boy (my hubby hates it when he burrows under the covers though). LOL!
Anyway, I have started sleeping with my hands under the covers because he has started chewing on my hands REALLY HARD! (Not mouthing) It hurts! So when I tell him "No Bite", (that is what the book that I have been reading says to do, but I don't think that he understands yet). My precious little boy starts YELLING AT ME!?!? YAP YAP YAPPITY YAP very loudly, when I am tring to get to sleep. So I tell him "No Bark!" Which he also doesn't understand!! He finally gives it up, but one night it took 1 1/2 hours to get to sleep. This is a habit that has just started over the last week, but I would like to get it stopped before it becomes a problem.
PLEASE HELP!! |
Is he kenneled all day? If so I would suggest getting an xpen, putting in a bed, toys, peepad and food and water. That way he can play and have room to run around. 12 hours in a kennel is way too long and puppies need more exercise then that. If has been sleeping all day he won't be very tired at night.
