Ellie's vet charges about $100 for preop bloodwork and it is worth every penny. I will not allow Ellie to be put under without it. They also don't recommend skipping it.

I would only allow a vet to put Ellie under if they comply with 1, 2, 3 and 4 (I don't think halothane is as safe as iso or sevo though...maybe). I allow Ellie's vet to choose what monitoring equiptment she uses. We have never talked about it... I'm sure we will someday though.
