Has she always been this way? If her personality has changed recently or if the neediness has sharply increased, could it be hormone related?
You said she's 4.5 months......*sometimes* they change around puberty.
Also, does she have much experience around other dogs, such as obedience classes or meetups? This may be another way of getting her to look forward to "non-human" attention until you can get another dog.
It sounds like you must be a wonderfully mommy if she loves to be with you so much. I know it's hard to break away, but I agree it would be good for her not to rely on you for all her happiness. |
