Okay, I'm going to try to word this very carefully...I probably shouldn't even reply at all LOL but I think maybe she was being satyrical by pointing out the hypocrisy of all the celebrities that thank God/Jesus/whatever for winning an Emmy/Oscar/Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes when a) they are corrupt drug addicted hedonists or b) God/Jesus had nothing (directly) to do with them winning the award. I mean, does anybody really think that God cares if they won an Oscar? I think s/he/it has other things to worry about...

PS. I forgot to mention, it is still tacky and offensive no doubt about it and you're right, if she had made that comment about another group it would not have gone over well at all, so I'm in no way defending her!
