Susan, I am not taking ANY offense to what you are saying.. It isn't my cat but all i know is if i couldn't get my cat in, i would be up all night waiting for her until i knew she was safe... I agrre animals shouldn't be lieft outside alone but i do feel cats are very independant and could survive better than a dog living out there alone.. Thanks for all of your support
